We keep the petition going. At the time of this writing we have already collected 825 signatures (from people all over the world). The petition is a first
step -- it serves to spread the word about this project and to give people a platform to voice their support for it.
Pondering has been going on behind the scenes about what to do next and who to approach and such...
High, I hope it's ok if I mention this: The petition has also been signed by some people who are very close to Benicio.
Not this year, but... It's not going to be a "barrel burst"...

get you there." ---

expectations for me to behave some way, or dress some
way, or look some way, you know, I couldn't give a damn

I figure there are several factors at work, one of which is paying for the star, and it can likely be linked to promo for a tentpole film. I do imagine the
campaign can build over time and years. I believe there is a committee that weighs the applications. John Cusak is an interesting choice, always does fine work
in appealing films but not blockbusters.
If you read the list of people who already have a star you can´t believe Benicio is not in it. Maybe they deserve it, but i don´t know which are the parameters
to select the candidates each year.
Benicio will have a star, I'm sure. His fans will demand it.
I guess regarding earnings... well, in a capitalist society it's all relative. If the enigma of a person generates revenue then they're a sought after
commodity so why shouldn't they earn what people are paying for? It's the same for doctors and what they do, that's why surgeons make so much
money; they make money for the hospitals, in the same way actors make money for studios and producers.
Benicio will have his star on the walk of fame and it'll be a very happy day for him and all of his fans.
No it´s not the same with doctors Cruisee, hospitals are not places to make money, or it shouldn´t be since more than half the population ineash country cannot
afford it. Unless you mean plastic surgeons, which are a very special kind of doctors.
In my country teachers, nurses and doctors who just got their degree don´t earn enough to make a living. And on the other hand, you see a very little bunch of
people eraning so much for so little effort. I guess Benicio is referring to that disproportion.
