Awards day rumors

Word here on the Croisette, on this final day of Festival du Cannes, is that Benicio Del Toro has been "called back" to attend tonight's awards ceremony. Rumorwise this makes him a likely leading contender for the best actor prize, for his performance as Ernesto "Che" Guevera in Steven Soderbergh's "Che."

Yep. He is the frontrunner. This is allover the place, all over the press. The only one who's been said to really stand a chance against him is Toni Servillo for 'Il Divo'.

It has become apparent from the very beginning on...

Just wanted to stop by with the first piece you posted, High... They are not calling him back to Cannes for nothing... As we know, he left Cannes in the afternoon of May 22, to head back to London...

The film(s) has good chances as well, for the top prize and/or others... Actually, they have told Steven Soderbergh "to stick around and be available this evening"...

Possible scenario: When 'CHE' wins at least one major prize this evening, Harvey Weinstein will put his money where his mouth is...

Hi ladies!!!!
The rumors of Beni returning to Cannes are spreading in Italy too, where i live...i hope they're not just rumors...
I loved Toni Servillo in 'Gomorra' (which is also a great book) but Beni MUST win this price,
he deserves it more than anyone else for this talent and dedication!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
